The impact of MSK student led clinics and the potential for rehabilitation in the NHS with a multi-student model
Katie Brown is an experienced Physiotherapist and Clinic Director of Keele University Physiotherapy & Rehabilitation Clinic (KUPRC), a student-led service combining clinical education with the delivery of accessible physiotherapy and rehabilitation services.
In this session, Katie will share the development and impact of KUPRC’s student-led MSK clinic and explore how a multi-student clinical education model can create high-quality placement capacity alongside meaningful service delivery. Drawing on five years of developing the clinic, the talk will consider student and patient outcomes, service sustainability and the potential for student-led models to contribute to rehabilitation capacity within the NHS. It will also explore how this approach could extend beyond physiotherapy to support interprofessional rehabilitation and future workforce development.
