About Event

** This event is part of Waterloo University RoboHub Spring Symposium: https://uwaterloo.ca/robohub/events/waterloo-robohub-spring-symposium-2026 **

As robotics continues to develop and is integrated in society for the general public's use/interaction, it is important to consider how the Canadian public is effectively engaged and included in how/where/who robotics will impact as it is integrated more into society.

In this workshop, participants will gather to rethink public engagement strategies to be more inclusive, identify challenges the public may face, and explore ways to improve engagement approaches.

This session aims to generate actionable ideas and strategies to help public engagement be inclusive, equitable, and transparent as robotics continues to integrate into society.

Anyone is welcome to attend, civic society, members of the general public, academics, industry and industry associations.
