Silent Night #6
You are invited!
You are invited to an evening sitting in silence together, for fun, for one hour. This is the 6th time we've done it.
It’s an experiment we’ll try together.
See what it feels like. ✔
Let your mind wander, daydream. ✔
Think about … friends, love, nothing. ✔
Not hard work.
Not reading or doing anything.
Not meditation or Quaker stuff or a cult.

What to expect
A small, mixed group of people. A home environment filled with books and wood (including a shy cat).
I'll put out tea and biscuits on arrival and we'll wait till everyone's here. The kind of people who come to this kind of thing are pretty nice. I'll check everyone's ok with what we're going to do (very simple: sit quietly and just do absolutely nothing). Then we'll sit on comfy chairs for an hour of peace and quiet, and see what that feels like. Then I'll put on the kettle, and usually we chat about how we found it (the chats are always very gentle and friendly).
Finally you'll get a handmade poster or booklet to take away as a little reminder. Tea is made with leaves from the garden (and normal tea too).
This is who I am: peterjlaw.
