Breaking Barriers: Investment Strategies for Female Founders
Join FemTUK for a panel event to focus on the critical funding gap facing women entrepreneurs in the music technology sector.
With only 17% of MTUK member companies being female-led and just 2% of VC funding reaching exclusively female-founded businesses, this event tackles the systemic challenges that prevent talented women from scaling their music tech innovations.
The evening will feature a dynamic panel discussion designed to go beyond surface-level advice and deliver actionable insights that female founders can immediately implement in their investment journey. The panel will feature Jane Clemetson, Angel Investor, Hannah Williamson, Senior Investment Manager at Edge VC, and John Acquaviva, Managing Partner at VC firm Plus8 Equity.
This carefully curated mix ensures attendees gain comprehensive understanding of how different investor types evaluate opportunities and make decisions, while examining the unconscious biases that often work against female founders.
Led by ellevate founder Charlotte Caleb, FemTUK is MTUK's space for female identifying founders or future founders to share, learn and discuss issues that often slow down or prohibit female founders from getting their idea to market.
The panel will be followed by drinks and networking.
Join us at the House of Music and Entertainment (H.O.M.E), for an event open to anyone to attend. This includes women in music tech and aspiring to be in music tech - and all men who support our mission.
