Hey everyone, Ezra here from Blockchain at Berkeley. Important update on Canton Hacks 2026.

The response to this event was absolutely amazing, more than we ever anticipated. The Canton Foundation took notice and have stepped in to make this bigger and better than originally planned. 

Because of that, we're moving the event to October 2026 and we apologize to everyone who was geared up for April 26th. 

Sorry if this inconveniced your plans please let us know if we can help with any issues you have faced while changing travel plans.

Cantor8, alongside both Blockchain at Berkeley and Canton Network itself, is proud to present Canton Hacks 2026.

Hosted at the iconic 63,000-capacity California Memorial Stadium in Berkeley, California, Canton Hacks 2026 will showcase the incredible pool of developer talent from some of The US’ most prestigious colleges and universities.

The competition will take place on April 26th, 2026, and features a cash prize pool of some $70,000.

The hackathon event is the pinnacle of Cantor8’s university program, which stretches across the Atlantic to cover tier-one universities like Oxford, Cambridge, Imperial, and UC Berkeley.

By incentivizing leading researchers and students to build applications and products specifically for Canton, the event is set to spark a wave of high caliber development in and understanding of Canton’s native Daml smart contract language.
