​Film Photography 101: An Introduction to Shooting Film

​This beginner-friendly workshop is designed for anyone who's ever wanted to pick up a film camera and experience the art of shooting analog.

​Over the course of this session, we'll cover everything you need to confidently shoot on a roll of film. Together, we'll cover all the basics of film photography, from understanding every part of how a camera works to loading the film and taking a photo.

​Whether you've inherited an old camera, picked one up at a thrift store, or are simply looking to start brand new, this workshop is the perfect place for you.

​What we'll cover:

• ​How film cameras work

• ​The exposure triangle: aperture, shutter speed, and ISO

• ​Different film formats (35mm, medium format, and instant film)

• ​Loading and unloading a roll of film

• ​Metering light and exposing correctly

• ​Focusing techniques and composition

• ​Common beginner mistakes and how to avoid them

• ​Where to develop and scan your film

• ​Caring for your camera and storing film

​By the end of the workshop, you'll leave with a solid understanding of film photography fundamentals, practical experience handling a film camera, and the confidence to shoot your own roll from start to finish.
