Friends! You're invited to come to our first gathering of 2024, where we get to help new and existing members connect with one another over conversations about the friendships that have shaped us.🎈
From fleeting connections that burned bright for only a season to decades-long companions that have stood the test of time - our friendships form an important part of our story. This is an opportunity for us to connect over those stories.✨
The theme for our conversations is "Friendships are the best ships". 🚢
Preparing for our conversations:
Spend 15 mins prior to our gathering meditating on the following. Think of this as a marinade ahead of our conversations. 💭
There is a saying, “We have friends for a reason, friends for a season, and friends for life”.
Season: The seasonality of friendships is an important aspect of the passage of time. Who is a friend that came into your life for a season and passed through like a shooting star?
Reason: Who is a friend that was an unexpected gift from the universe and served a specific need or purpose in an important moment in your life? What circumstances surrounded that period, and why was this friendship so crucial for you at that particular time?
Life: Similar to the lights here at Neon, long-lasting friends are the lights that illuminate our lives. What is a long-lasting friendship that has lit up your life?
Rules for our evening:
Bring a photo (digital or physical) with you that meets one of the following criteria: 📷
It is of you and a person who has been a friend for a season.
It is of you and a person who has been a friend for a reason.
It is of you and a person who has been a friend for a life.
You can't pour yourself a drink - you can only pour drinks for someone else! Share the story behind one of your photos to get someone else to pour you a drink at the event. 🥂
Come with an open heart for story-telling and connection! ✨
Things to keep in mind:
Check in is from 6:30 - 7:00pm. Please be sure to arrive by 7 as we have some activities planned!
This is a members-only event.
We are doing a "Dry January", which means none of the Tribe events in January will have alcoholic beverages.
We will provide complimentary light snacks and non-alcoholic beverages.
There is a limited number of spaces for this event, please only register if you are able to come.
