Are you a bold, creative scientist ready to spend a summer learning how world-changing biotech companies are built from the ground up?
Flagship Pioneering invents and builds platform companies, each with the potential for multiple products that transform human health, sustainability and beyond. Since its launch in 2000, Flagship has originated and fostered more than 100 scientific ventures, operating with $14 billion of assets under its direction as of its latest capital raise, announced in July 2024. The current Flagship ecosystem comprises more than 40 companies, including Foghorn Therapeutics, Generate Biomedicines, Inari, Indigo Agriculture, Lila Sciences, Moderna, Sana Biotechnology, Tessera Therapeutics and Valo Health.
Applications are open now for the Boston-based Flagship Pioneering 2026 Summer Fellowship (June–August). This opportunity offers creative, entrepreneurial scientists a paid, full-time opportunity to learn Flagship’s unique approach to pioneering new science and building disruptive biotech ventures. You will work directly with Flagship's teams to explore ideas and innovations with the potential to become breakthrough companies in industries ranging from human health to sustainability, technology, AI, and beyond.

This information session forms part of the talent exchange within Flagship’s new and exciting partnership with the Francis Crick Institute to combine the Crick’s scientific excellence with Flagship’s venture-creation model, accelerating breakthrough discoveries and strengthening the UK’s leadership in life sciences.
