Since stepping into this wild and wonderful chapter, I’ve attended approximately a million baby classes & soft plays, and spent more days than I care to count standing in the pouring rain at the park, attempting to summon enthusiasm while clutching a lukewarm coffee & soggy, half-chewed croissant.
But somewhere between nap schedules and snack negotiations, I realised something was missing. What I’ve been craving since becoming a mum is a beautiful, grown-up space to come together with other local mums — where we can actually finish a conversation, talk about things other than sleep regressions and snack preferences, and enjoy a glass (or six) of wine without the looming possibility of a baby waking or a toddler staging a protest. A space that feels a little indulgent. A little restorative. A little like us again.
Because while motherhood is extraordinary, we’re still women with stories, ambitions, humour, and lives that extend beyond the bedtime routine.
And I kept thinking: where do we go for that? So I (hope) I’ve created it.
Wine + a Village was born from the simple belief that mums deserve a village too — one that comes with good conversation, beautiful surroundings, and a very decent glass of wine.
To absolutely maximise the sunshine, this will be our second Alfresco Edition meet-up. It’s a relaxed BYO event, where we’ll soak up glorious views, snacks & your drink of choice ✨🍷🌞
