About Event

You are invited to a Death Café experience where people, often strangers, gather to discuss death.

The objective is “to increase awareness of death with a view to helping people make the most of their (finite) lives." The experience will be a group discussion of death with no specific agenda. Guidance, suggestions, and conversation starters are offered.

It is a discussion group with community peers rather than a professionally facilitated grief support or counseling session.

Death Café is place for people to talk about death and dying in a supportive, unstructured way.

*The Death Cafe model was developed by Jon Underwood and Sue Barsky Reid, based on the ideas of Bernard Crettaz.
