About Event

​On behalf of Journalists for Human Rights (JHR) and PhD in Media & Design Innovation Program at Toronto Metropolitan University, we are excited to invite you to join us for a special World Press Freedom Day event "From Fear to Freedom: The New Era of Media Freedom in Syria" - a day of discussion about the future of independent journalism in a in a country emerging from decades of repression.

At the event, we will also be launching JHR's new report of the same name. The day will feature keynote speakers and panel discussions with prominent journalists, policymakers and scholars, exploring practical pathways to support Syrian civic space and media freedom in the years ahead.
