Outside of work, Ayooluwa is an avid volunteer, passionate about empowering young professionals to build purposeful, fulfilling careers beyond borders.

Peter Sowoolu-Coates is a software engineer, educator, and mentor with a strong background in backend systems, DevOps practices, and scalable product development. Formerly with Goldman Sachs, Peter now runs “thepetercoates” — a tech education brand focused on making complex tech concepts beginner-friendly through short-form videos, hands-on insights, and mentoring.
A graduate of the University of Lagos, Nigeria, and currently based in Birmingham, Peter is passionate about empowering newcomers to tech, building scalable systems, and contributing to inclusive communities. He mentors undergraduates through Buildgems.org and was featured in ThisDayLive’s “From Lagos to Birmingham”. When he’s not coding or creating content, Peter enjoys cooking, watching football and basketball, and serving in his local church as a sound engineer.
