About Event

A decline curve tells you what a well did. It doesn't tell you why.

In an emerging basin you don't have years of wells to lean on. You have to read early data, calibrate quickly and get to the right design before the learning curve gets expensive. That takes geology, drilling, completions and reservoir all working from the same picture, plus data the asset team actually trusts.

In our next power hour, Lucas Martin of FourPoint joins us to talk about how subsurface teams use pressure and physics, not just rate and time, to make those calls with confidence.

We cover:

  • Reading a well early with flowback, pressure data and RTA

  • Applying lessons from mature plays to skip the long learning curve

  • Calibration data and quick learning when you're running a small rig count

  • Where AI and ML fit, and why first principles still matter

This episode goes out on Thursday, October 8 at 10 am ct. Sign up to get notified when it's released.
