RESET: A Creatives Community Breathwork Experience in Detroit
In partnership with MoveDetroit, CreativeMornings/Detroit, and SEEN, we're bringing the Somaxis™ Breathwork Experience to creatives in Detroit — and you're invited to be part of this gathering at the
The Somaxis™ Breathwork Experience is an in-person community breathwork gathering guided by intuitive facilitation and grounded in safety, consent, and wholeness.
Breathwork is the doorway, but I'll be honest—breathwork doesn't fully capture what unfolds in this space.
As we arrive at the fall equinox—that natural turning point where day and night hold equal—this is an invitation to reset. To come back to yourself so you can continue it from different ground.
In Detroit. In a space built for gathering. With the only technology you need: your breath.
For two hours on September 25th, we're gathering creatives, founders, artists, and visionary leaders in the iconic Boyer Campbell Building at the Detroit Design District. We'll move through a guided breathwork journey designed to shift your nervous system from the doing of creation into the being underneath it.
If this is you:
You hold a high volume of responsibility for others and feel the weight of that invisible labor.
You feel stretched thin by the pace of life and the constant go-mode.
You build something in the world. A product. A perspective. A space where people can become more themselves.
You know the particular exhaustion that comes with that. The way creation asks something of your nervous system. The clarity you need at 3am. The way forward motion requires a kind of containment you have to generate yourself.
What happens in the room
We create a multidimensional journey through the Five Facets of Being—a framework grounded in somatic practice and nervous system science. You arrive exactly as you are: grounded, activated, exhausted, clear, however you show up. Everything is invitational. Safety and choice are at the center. You don't need to push yourself or have a breakthrough for this to be worthwhile. Sometimes the most powerful thing is simply giving your nervous system a few hours to rest.
We use silent disco headphones—high-quality headsets that envelop you in a private world of curated music and gentle guidance. This allows you to go deep into your own inner landscape while being held in the supportive energy of the community.
Through this practice, you'll experience:
Physiological reset. Softened facial expression, regulated breath patterns, grounded body language, and natural rest states emerge as your nervous system shifts from fight-or-flight to rest-and-digest.
Emotional access and release. Authentic emotional expression through tears, laughter, or sound, with the capacity to feel without collapse as your emotional body opens with regulated containment.
Cognitive clarity and reframing. "I see it differently now" insights, reduced mental rigidity, and new narrative emergence as mental pathways activate and soften.
Community. Connection to a greater whole, remembering who you are, deep stillness and presence, intuitive insights as your spiritual body opens to wholeness.
Integration that sticks. Not another peak experience, but wisdom your body can remember and return to.
