PsyMed Ventures and KdT Ventures present the 2nd annual Future Neuro Founders Program for entrepreneurial scientists.
Join an online community to meet fellow aspiring founders and learn what it takes to build a neuro startup. This is a 4 week series hosted Friday October 10th, 17th, 24th, and 31st with a mandatory application.
Week 1 - October 10
- Welcome Remarks by Matias Serebrinsky & Greg Kubin @ PsyMed Ventures and Patrick Malone @ KdT Ventures
- Founder Panel: Real experiences of founders that went from academia to starting a company in neuro - Allen Waziri @ iCE Neurosystems, Neal Amin @ Sculpta, Mariëlle van Kooten @ Powerhouse
- Guided reflection + peer group breakout - Caitlin Ner @ PsyMed Ventures
Week 2 - October 17
- Putting together a team (FT, PT, advisors, vendors) - Jacob Robinson @ Motif Neurotech
- Deck review / how to build a strong seed deck - Patrick Malone @ KdT Ventures + Matias Serebrinsky @ PsyMed Ventures
Week 3 - October 24
- Mapping out the development path with timelines, milestones and tying it back to funding rounds - Retsina Meyer @ Delix Therapeutics
- Storytelling & Pitching - Select attendees are highlighted to practice their pitch, GPs give feedback live - Greg/Matias - PsyMed Ventures & Patrick - KdT Ventures
Week 4 - October 31
- Navigating partnerships (CROs, universities, pharma, government) (45 min) - Jacob Donoghue at Beacon Biosignal
- Peer founder breakout and closing by PsyMed Ventures and KdT Ventures (45 min)
Note, this program is geared for people building in neuro with a relevant background in neuro. Idea stage welcome.
