ARIA x AltEarth Future Frontiers: Subsurface Tech, Civil Engineering and Construction

​The UK's Advanced Research + Invention Agency is always on the lookout for new frontier technology signals that could inspire new directions for our work.

​With this in mind, ARIA and AltEarth are hosting Future Frontiers: Subsurface Tech, Civil Engineering and Construction on the 23rd of October at the ARIA office. The event features flash talks from the organisers and attendees and an opportunity to pitch new funding programmes to ARIA.

​If you think your work closely relates to these areas we will be delighted to have you join us.

​We'd also love to hear pitches for new potential funding programmes in the domain of subsurface technologies & civil construction.

​No need to send us anything in advance, but we'd ask if you could think about what that programme might be. We'll ask for volunteers on the day to pitch ideas that answer the following questions:

​(1) What 100x improvement would it achieve and on which important performance axes?

​(2) What unrelated technological concepts is it bringing together?

​(3) What plausible, technical paths exist towards unlocking this improvement? We'd appreciate if this pitch is not just your existing project / startup but a new, under appreciated technological direction for the field.
