Day Trip | Aigüestortes National Park & Sant Maurici Lake
About the Park:
Declared a national park in 1955, Aigüestortes is the only one in Catalonia. Located in the central Pyrenees (Lleida), it spans over 40,000 hectares. The name means "twisting waters," referring to the rivers and streams flowing through its glacier-formed landscapes, alpine lakes, and forests. One highlight is Sant Maurici Lake, nestled below the striking twin peaks of Els Encantats, at 1,910 meters.
