Sentientist picnic: Agriculture - 26th July
Sentientism is a worldview summed up nicely by the motto: "Evidence, reason and compassion for all sentient beings". These meet-ups are a chance to discuss strategies for moving the world towards one that better aligns with these values.
For this meet-up, we'll be focusing on agriculture. The discussion will explore how sentientist values could reshape farming systems and food production; how agricultural practices affect the lives of sentient beings, both domesticated and wild; how current agricultural frameworks align or conflict with compassion for all sentient beings; and what practical changes — from alternative proteins to welfare reforms and shifts in land use — might help move food systems in a more sentientist direction.
The Sentientist Agriculture page is a good starting point for exploring these ideas:

This time we're going to take a chance with the weather and have a picnic in Regent's Park. Please bring your own (vegan) food, and if there's rain we will relocate to a pub.
