Thanksgiving RV Road Trip | Oct 9–12, 2026
Ditch the thanksgiving blues for a 4-day, off-grid adventure along Northern Ontario’s Highway 69 corridor.
We’re taking 16 people across two 32 ft RVs to chase peak autumn colors, scale quartzite mountain summits, leap off pink granite cliffs, and cook group meals around the bonfire. We’ve already locked down reserved RV campsites inside both Killarney and Killbear Provincial Parks—giving us guaranteed park access, hot showers, and AMAZING Starry sky views with a CHANCE at catching the Northren Lights

🗺️ ITINERARY HIGHLIGHTS
Friday, Oct 9 (The Push North):
Meet up Friday Morning and roll north via Hwy 69 (~3 hrs). We’ll set up camp on Crown land for an off-grid stargazing session and campfire under dark northern skies.
Saturday, Oct 10 (Killarney Summit & Dockside Fish & Chips):
Wake up and drive ~1 hour to Killarney Provincial Park. We’ll scramble up The Crack (a famous 7.5 km trail through giant quartzite boulders) for 360° views of red and gold autumn forests. Post-hike, we hit the waterfront for dockside fish & chips at Herbert Fisheries before checking into our campsites (Sites 126 & 147) at George Lake.
Sunday, Oct 11 (French River Gorge & Killbear Sunset):
Cruise south to cross the high pedestrian bridge spanning the French River Gorge. By afternoon, we check into Killbear Provincial Park (Campsites 500 & 504). Spend the evening exploring Kilcoursie Beach and watching the Georgian Bay sunset.
Monday, Oct 12 (Harold Point Cliff Jumps & Journey Home):
Wake up on the water and hit Harold Point for cliff jumping off pink granite ledges (3 to 30+ ft drops) into Georgian Bay. Hit the park showers, dump the RV tanks, and head home Monday afternoon (~3 hrs back).

Sturdy trail runners or hiking boots (for The Crack quartzite rock scramble).

Warm layers, jacket, and a headlamp/flashlight.
