A Punk Salon with Suzanne Kianpour
On June 11th, Punks & Pinstripes hosts the emmy nominated and former badass of the BBC, Suzanne Kianpour.
She’s worked on the front lines of the world’s most significant news stories, she provides insight and analysis on political and foreign policy issues, informed by extensive on-the-ground experience and a vast network of international contacts.
After her 12 year span at the BBC as a foreign affairs and political reporter she launched her own company – highlighting her Punk ethos, Helmets to Heels.
From press vests and helmets to suits and heels, Helmet to Heels redefines how audiences engage with news (newsfluencing) by seamlessly blending fashion, travel, and current events stories.
We’ll explore her journey through a corporate media giant and how that’s pushed her to be a better journalist, truth-teller and second mountain leader.
This Salon will include:
A fireside chat with Suzanne
A screening of her short-film
A “Help a Punk” break out group session
A community of peers who aren’t chasing titles—they’re building meaningful second act
Wine, light bites, set in a casual and conversational environment
Location: Let’s Have Fun Today Photo Studio
Address: 46 Bridge Street, Brooklyn, NY 11201
