Cybersecurity is the foundation for all secure technology and AI. At the same time, AI is transforming both the threat landscape and the tools available to us as defenders and ethical hackers.

Get to Know Microsoft Security Solutions and Innovation is a multi-hour, student-friendly event with short, focused sessions that introduce you to key Microsoft security tools and AI-powered capabilities. We’ll walk through:

  • Entra for identity and access

  • Defender for threat protection

  • Purview for data security and governance

  • Intune for device and app protection

  • Azure AI and Copilot for AI-powered investigation and automation

You don’t need prior cybersecurity experience to join. We’ll explain concepts in plain language, show live demos, and highlight different roles on a security team—analyst, engineer, architect, researcher, and ethical hacker—so you can start to see where you might fit.

By the end of the event, you’ll understand how Microsoft Security solutions work together, how AI is changing the defender’s toolkit against an evolving attacker, and which Microsoft Learn paths and certifications you can follow to keep building your skills.
