Nigeria's Electricity Act 2023 changed the unit of decision in Nigerian power. States may now legislate their own electricity markets, license their own generation and set their own tariffs, and more than a dozen have begun to do so. The question that follows is not how many megawatts the country can add but what the megawatts are for.
Nigeria’s answer is productivity: agro-processing, mineral processing, manufacturing and computation.
