World Cafe: Travelling in Home Kong 香港旅行

​If you are someone who would call Hong Kong “Home Kong,” this World Cafe is for you.

Hong Kong is a densely populated city. Beyond its unique urban architectural landscape, it also has countryside right at its doorstep — including 25 country parks, 22 special areas, and more than 200 outlying islands. With dramatic, rugged mountain scenery, hiking trails, beaches, and historic villages, we can move from the city into nature in an instant.

​On Thursday, May 28, we warmly invite you to join us at the Urban Room, located in the iconic “Monster Building” in Quarry Bay. Let’s share the overlooked and distinctive sides of Hong Kong, and rediscover the city through a fresh new perspective.

​香港是一座人口稠密的城市，除了有獨特的城市建築景觀，亦有近在咫尺的郊野 — 包括 25 個郊野公園、22 個特別地區，以及超過 200 個離島，擁有壯麗崎嶇的山巒景觀、遠足徑、沙灘和歷史悠久的村落，讓我們可瞬間從城市走進大自然。

​☕ What is World Cafe?

• ​​​World Cafe is a discussion format driven by intentionally crafted questions, designed for 12 or more people to Think Together. 🌎☕️

• ​​​In the process, participants are divided into small groups to discuss a question, and then join a new group to discuss the next one.

• ​​​There will be three rounds, each 15 to 20 minutes.

• ​​​After that, everyone comes together to share what they learned. We'll be able to take home the main ideas, themes, and insights that emerged from the discussions.

​​​📝 What can you expect?

• ​​​7 pm doors open. You can bring light food and finish it before 7:30pm.

• ​​​7:30 pm-9:00 pm World Cafe: Part 1 Small group discussion

• ​​​9:00 pm-9:30 pm World Cafe: Part 2 Harvest

​​​💰What is the cost?

• ​​​Standard: HKD 150 per person. This includes a $50 shopping voucher, which can be used in-store to support local artists.

• ​​​Supporter: If you wish to support the future of the World Café (where we aim to host at least one event per month), you can opt for flexible pricing, starting at $160.

​​​🏃🏻‍♀️What if I can't arrive by 7 pm?

• ​​​No worries. We understand that work schedules can be fluid sometimes. The first 30 minutes are for us to freshen up and get ready. Kindly arrive before 7:30 p.m. to join the sharing session. ​​​✨ What happens if the event has reached its full capacity (12 people in this case)?

• ​​​You will be placed on the waiting list. If a spot opens up, I’ll reach out to you so you can decide whether you want to join. If no spots become available, a full refund will be issued

​☕ 甚麼是「世界咖啡館」？

• ​世界咖啡館是一種輕鬆、聚焦的討論方式，透過主持人(host)因應主題而設計的三條問題，令參加者對題目有更深入的探討。

• ​第一部分參加者會分成3-4人小組進行討論，每回合15分鐘，每回結束後都會交換組員，互相分享聽到的故事和觀點。

• ​第二部分所有人會圍坐，主持人會引導大家分享啟發，由於參加者在整個過程中都有機會參與分享和聆聽，所以我們可以得出集體智慧。

​📝 活動內容

• ​7 pm 稍息時間。你可以自攜簡單食物，並請於活動開始 (7:30pm)前食用完畢。

• ​7:30 pm-9:00 pm 世界咖啡館 第一部分：小組討論

• ​9:00 pm-9:30 pm 世界咖啡館 第二部分：集體智慧

​💰 收費

​🏃🏻‍♀️ 如果我晚上 7 點前無法到達怎麼辦？

• ​不用擔心！我們知道工作和交通時間有時並不穩定。活動頭半小時(7pm-7:30pm) 是稍息時間，你只需提早與我們溝通，並於晚上7:30前抵達參加「世界咖啡館」部分就可。

​✨ 如果名額已滿 (以此活動為例12人)，仍可以參加嗎？

• ​你仍可報名但會被列入等候名單。如果在活動前有人告知無法出席，我會與您聯繫，以便您決定是否加入。如果沒有空位，會在日內全額退款。
