​​This week, our special guest is Dr. Joshua Cain, a researcher in transcranial ultrasound neuromodulation.

​After receiving his PhD from UCLA in 2021 focused on tFUS neuromodulation, Dr. Cain has held multiple research positions within the neuromodulation space, most notably at Institute for Advanced Consciousness Studies and the International Brain Research Foundation. He is now the founding CEO of a neurotech startup.

Dr. Cain's research has been previously discussed in our tFUS Society event, "Brain Stimulation and Mindfulness," so we are very excited for him to present his work.

​​What is tFUS?: Transcranial-focused ultrasound (tFUS) is the most promising non-invasive brain stimulation technology. It has been shown to safely modulate brain function at millimeter resolution, even in deep brain regions.

​​​Who are we?: tFUS Society is a group of technical enthusiasts, researchers, and founders. Our goal is to accelerate the development of tFUS technology by sharing information, resources, and ideas.
