About Event

Chasing self-esteem through comparison is exhausting — and it never works for long.

We live in a world that constantly tells us to measure up: to be smarter, stronger, more successful, or better looking than the people around us. It’s no wonder we fall into the comparison trap and end up feeling like we’re not enough.

This free community event is a chance to replace the never-ending disappointment of comparison with a stronger sense of self worth.

With guidance from a licensed therapist and the support of people who know what it’s like, you’ll explore:

  • The psychology of self-esteem and self-compassion, and why one is more fulfilling than the other.

  • The science of why we compare ourselves to others, why we do so, how it backfires, and how to stop it before it spirals.

  • Practical tools to shift your inner voice from a harsh critic to a steady supporter so you that can grow without tearing yourself down.

  • Daily practices that anchor your worth in who you are, not how you compare.

You’ll leave with a fresh perspective on confidence, a toolkit to quit the habit of comparison, and the freedom to meet yourself with more kindness and strength.

This event is 90 minutes long, with cameras on. Participants are encouraged to introduce themselves (first names only), and share as they feel comfortable.
