CDMC Community Iftar
On Saturday March 14th, Chicago Dyke March Collective welcomes you for a night of community, connection, and celebration of Queer Muslim identity. This iftar is open to everyone, Muslim and non-Muslim, practicing or not, and we hope to create a space for people across the vast spectrum of faith practices to come together and enjoy our time together.
We will be gathering at Haymarket House from 6:30-9pm, and all food will be provided (Maghrib is around 6:56pm). There will be a group prayer held for those interested, a short program, and plenty of time and space to socialize! More access details will be provided in the near future. This event description on Luma will also be updated with new access info when it is made available.
In preparation for our 2026 Dyke March in Pilsen, the Chicago Dyke March Collective is actively fundraising and will be asking for a suggested donation of $10-$25, but nobody will be turned away for lack of funds. Donations can be made at the link below or at the event. A portion of the funds go to MAMAS, a group of Chicagoland mothers and caregivers of color organized to nurture resistance rooted in love and against state violence. https://givebutter.com/CDMCOLLECTIVE
We look forward to seeing you this Saturday! Peace and blessings be upon you all this Ramadan.
