​ABOUT THE EVENT

​This Gemini New Moon is a rare opportunity to discover useful information in illusions. What do you see when you look in the mirror? The way we see ourselves is distorted by our (lack of) self worth, social conditioning, and positionality in the collective. Sometimes we even keep secrets to hide the things we're most ashamed of. Would you have the same negative feelings about your traits and habits if someone else demonstrated them? Our ritual this month will center questioning what we see in our reflections and setting new intentions with a more accurate understanding of who and where we are.

​New Moons are bursting with energetic potential we can harness through ritual. With the power of Moon magic, we regain agency in a world that feels increasingly out of our control. These rituals provide a framework for individual and collective change making. Everyone deserves access to the ancient practices humans have always followed to connect and to make shit happen. The rich and powerful know ritual magic works, and thus they've spent centuries trying to separate us from our ancestral divination tools. It's time to return to our origins, rediscover ourselves, and reclaim a future that has always been ours.

​ABOUT THE FACILITATOR

​Aria (they/she/he) has been a facilitator for over 15 years. They bring a background in stage directing, young adult education, and community organizing to LA Immersion's Moon Ritual series. They've spent the past 5 years obsessively learning astrology, tarot, and magic and it has changed their life. They're called to merge their spirituality with their community work and hope these learnings can change others' lives too.
