AAWAA Community Picnic

​ABOUT THE EVENT

​AAWAA is hosting a Community Picnic! Come join AAWAA members, volunteers, donors, staff, board members, and community partners for a fun afternoon potluck. It just so happens to be around the time of the Mid-Autumn Moon Festival, so we’ll bring the moon cakes! 🥮🥮🥮

​We’ll also have:

​👋 Social bingo (with prizes!): Learn something new about an old friend or strike up a conversation with the person next to you to fill out your bingo card.

​🎨 Art activities: What is an AAWAA event without art? Sit down at the art table—complete with drawing paper, markers, color pencils, and prompts—to create a memento of the picnic.

​🎉 Lots of time to enjoy each other’s company!

​ADDITIONAL INFO

​-Picnic tables have been reserved in the Glen Park picnic area next to the playground (Elk St & Chenery St).
-Kids are welcome!
-Utensils, plates, cups, napkins, as well as water will be provided.
-If you change your mind about what to bring, please update the potluck sign-up form.
-Feel free to bring lawn chairs and picnic blankets.
-No alcohol is allowed in the picnic area.

​GETTING THERE

​The park is close to the Glen Park BART Station and right off the I-280 freeway. If driving from San Francisco/East Bay, take the Alemany Blvd exit onto Diamond St. If driving from the Peninsula/South Bay, take the San Jose Ave exit to Bosworth St then to Diamond St.

​Parking is limited to street parking in and around the park, but parking at Glen Park BART Station is FREE on weekends and just a 10 minute walk to the park. Muni Lines 44 O'Shaughnessy, 36 Teresita, 23 Monterey, and J Church all have stops at the perimeters of the park or at Glen Park Station.
