The New Restoration Economy Roundtable: An Agenda for Investment, Resilience and Shared Prosperity

​This private roundtable is co-hosted by the World Resources Institute (WRI), Systemiq, the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew, and the London School of Economics (LSE).

​Restoration is more than an environmental imperative. It can become a major economic sector, creating jobs and livelihoods, strengthening food and water security, building resilience and competitiveness, and generating shared prosperity. Unlocking this potential will require new alignment across governments, finance, business, philanthropy, and communities.

​During Climate Week NYC, this private roundtable brings together leaders from across the restoration economy. Participants will examine emerging country, business, and community-led proof points; explore the policy, institutional, and financial conditions needed for them to grow; and consider how restoration can become a stronger pillar of the global climate and nature finance agenda.

​The session will combine brief opening perspectives with a facilitated working discussion aimed at identifying a shared action agenda, prospective champions and partners, and opportunities to build momentum toward COP32 in Ethiopia.
