🪩 Flashback Friday 🪩 Human Week Closing Celebration ✨
We spent all week asking what it means to be human first. Now we’re closing it out with a little flashback to life before smartphones, when plans were plans, nobody was half-looking at a screen, and the only way to know what happened was to be there. Let’s keep the conversation going and celebrate being human, together.
What to expect
✨ 6pm | Doors open
Hand us your phone at the door (you’ll get it back, promise). Then grab a name tag and a beverage, and ease in at your own pace.
✨ 6:30pm | Let’s get it started
We’ll look back on a few highlights from the week, then kick things off with some playful warm-ups to get us out of our heads and into the room.
✨ 7pm–late | Stay groovy
Phones come back and the music comes up, with downtempo, ambient, and progressive grooves from DJ Mike Swells. Hang out, keep the convo going, dance or just vibe. Stay as long as you want.
✨ The vibe
Anti-networking. Playful, warm, a little bit nostalgic. No pitches, no scanning the room for someone more useful to talk to. Wear something you feel great in.
✨ Good to know
Coming solo? Perfect. This was designed with you in mind, and you won’t be left hovering by the wall.
The first hour is phone-free.
Doors open at 6 and we kick off at 6:30. Come early to settle in, and try not to miss the start.
Food and drinks are buy-your-own. Here’s the Spy Bar menu.
Spy Bar opens to the public at 7, so you’ll be sharing the room with regulars after that.
Yes, it’s Friday the 13th. The only thing getting cursed tonight is small talk.
This event is part of Boston Human Week 🌟
Human Week (Nov 9–13) is a week of conversations across Boston about how we build a future that puts people first: AI, education, work, care, cities, and everything in between. Hosted by all kinds of humans, in all kinds of rooms.
