The Practitioner in the Room
How emotional and behavioral intelligence can strengthen the work you do with clients
Every client relationship carries two sets of patterns into the room, the client's and the practitioner's. How you experience uncertainty and approach risk, make decisions under stress and respond to emotion, and how you communicate shapes what you notice, what clients reveal, and where conversations get stuck.
The technical side of financial advice is becoming increasingly commoditized. Yet the parts of money that are hardest to navigate are often deeply human: relationships, behavior, and identity.
At the same time, money shows up constantly in therapy, but many clinicians receive little training in how to talk about it.
Clients are often underserved in the space between the two.
In this interactive 60-minute workshop, Calibrate’s Nick Ashburn and Moraya Seeger DeGeare, LMFT, bring financial advisors and therapists together around the same client case. We’ll explore what each profession notices, what each might miss, how our own patterns shape the way we respond, and what changes when we have greater insight into the psychology of the people we serve.
Participants who complete their Calibrate GrowthProfile in advance can use their own results during the workshop, though it is not required. You can take the assessment here: https://www.calibrate-intelligence.com/assessment?template=8d553dd0-44b2-4ccd-8bae-41c6ef3ef79f&tenant=calibrate
