For many founders, due diligence is one of the least transparent parts of fundraising. It can be difficult to know what investors are looking for, which risks matter most and what ultimately gives them enough confidence to move forward.

Join Startup TNT for a candid conversation with experienced early-stage investors about how they evaluate pre-seed and seed companies.

We’ll explore the questions, signals and sometimes subtle details that shape investment decisions, including what builds confidence when a company has limited revenue or operating history.

The conversation will explore evidence of traction and the path to scale, market credibility, financial assumptions, and how valuation and deal terms affect an opportunity.

Bryan is the Managing Partner and Co-Founder of Metiquity Ventures, a Calgary-based pre-seed fund focused on B2B SaaS and AI-enabled software companies. He brings 25 years of finance, investment and entrepreneurial experience, with particular expertise in investment analysis, due diligence, business strategy and corporate governance.

Manuel Garcia | Associate, UCeed Deep Tech Fund

Manuel sources, evaluates and supports investments in early-stage energy and deep technology companies through UCeed. His work focuses on assessing complex technologies, their commercial potential and the evidence required to support an early-stage investment decision.

Lauren Fischbuch | Angel Investor

Lauren is an active angel investor with Startup TNT and has participated extensively in the Summit’s investor-led due diligence process. Her background spans engineering, operations, management consulting, corporate strategy and growth, giving her a practical lens on business fundamentals, growth opportunities and operational scalability.
