About Event

Once a manager has been selected and capital committed, what influence do LPs still have, and how can they use it effectively in increasingly uncertain private markets?

Following the discussion we hosted at IPEM Paris, we are continuing the conversation in a 30-minute webinar focused on practical LP engagement after allocation with Emmanuel Parmentier and Imène Maharzi.

We will examine where LP influence can genuinely make a difference in Private Market portfolios, how to move beyond reporting and monitoring without simply adding pressure on GPs, and how clearer expectations can help investors navigate climate, social, governance and other long-term risks.

In 30 minutes, you will leave with:
- the case for robust GP engagement in times of high volatility and uncertainty, especially around sustainability issues;
- a clearer view of the levers LPs can still use after commitment;
- practical ways to structure expectations and engagement with GPs;
- a better sense of where individual influence is enough, and where collective approaches may be more effective.

At WEASTEM, our strategy work across both LP and GP perspectives provides us with a direct view of a recurring gap: LPs increasingly wish to exercise influence, while GPs are often unclear about what investors expect, how far they need them to go, and over what timeframe.
