About Event

Let's celebrate Día de los Muertos and Día de los fieles Difuntos in Corona! These are a Mexican and South American celebration respectively. We will do it on November 1 at the time displayed no matter what. My hope is that the chosen date and time will enable us to join the annual dia de los muertos festivities in Corona Plaza. If that doesn't line up, I will still organize this trip, and add another one. (The annual celebration's date is yet to be announced)

We'll take a walk through Roosevelt avenue and some of the side streets looking for holiday celebrations and local restaurants selling Ecuadorian favorites guaguas de pan and colada morada.

We'll eat at an Ecuadorian restaurant called Leticia's, where we will be able to decorate our own guaguas de pan. My knowledge of how Dia de los difuntos is celebrated is primarily about Ecuadorian celebrations, but maybe we can find some other goodies too like Guatemalan Fiambre. After eating, we'll walk around looking for other celebrations, including Corona plaza and up and down Roosevelt.
