Interactive Session: Health Insurance Without HR
When you work for yourself, nobody hands you a benefits packet. Picking a health plan is on you, and the options are confusing.
This month, Scott Ball of Scott Ball Insurance leads a free morning workshop on how health coverage works when you're self-employed, and how to find a plan that fits your needs and your budget.
Scott helps individuals, families, and small business owners in the Raleigh area through the health insurance process. His goal is simple: make health insurance less overwhelming and help people feel confident about their options.
We'll cover
The main ways self-employed people and small business owners get health coverage
How to compare plans on more than the monthly premium
When you can enroll, and what to do if you miss the window
Covering a spouse, kids, or a small team
Who should come: Freelancers, solo founders, small business owners, and anyone about to leave a job with benefits.
Format: Coffee and bagels from 7:30. Then Scott's talk and open Q&A. You're out by 9:00. Bring your questions.
