this immersive training certifies you in usui reiki level one while offering a deeper, more integrative approach to intuitive energy work.
reiki is both a healing framework and a spiritual practice that supports transformation across physical, emotional, mental, and energetic layers. many people come to reiki seeking stress relief, pain relief, or physical-mental-emotional healing support and discover that it also awakens intuition, clarity, and a deeper relationship to self.
this training is designed for people who want to develop their innate intuitive abilities and work with energy in a way that is ethical, embodied, and sustainable. whether you plan to continue on to level two or simply want reiki for your own healing, or for your direct community, you will leave with practical tools you can use for a lifetime.
what makes this training different
this is not a standard reiki certification.
yes, you will receive usui reiki first degree certification that balances both western and japanese perspectives that mina has been synthesizing over the last decade, and...this training also goes beyond that.
in addition to foundational reiki teachings, this container includes:

☆ energetic hygiene and discernment practices and mentorship to prevent burnout and over-giving
☆ nervous-system aware approaches to self-regulation and holding space
☆ guidance on working with intuition responsibly, without bypassing or ego inflation

this training is intentionally small and apprenticeship-style. we gather in person, in my home, around the table and on the tables. it prioritizes embodiment, integration, and lived understanding over speed or quantity of information.
students will be added to a reiki-specific ongoing chat group to connect, share experiences, ask questions, trade, request reiki for a person or community, and offer support.
this container is for those who value integrity, presence, and long-term relationship with the work.
why receiving matters so much
you can read about reiki all day, but your body learns it by receiving. when you’ve felt reiki move through you, the teachings land differently. you recognize the sensations, trust what you’re feeling, and understand what your future clients will experience on the table.
students who receive sessions before and during the training tend to integrate faster, feel more confident in their hands, and connect more deeply with their own channel. it is genuinely the best thing you can do to support your learning.

the schedule, more or less goes as follows:
✦ sunday #1, january 3: foundations
12pm to 4pm est
we start with meditation and get into the beginnings of the manual: the true definition, history, origins, reiki principles, and cultural context. the lecture style is conversational.
✦ sunday #2, january 10: attunement
12pm to 4pm est
meditation takes us into the nitty gritty of the manual, more specifically the different frameworks of how to practice reiki on yourself and others. we close with a reiki meditation and your attunement, which opens up your channel for reiki.
✦ sunday #3, january 17: hands on + intuitive tools
12pm to 4pm est
reinforcing meditation. lots of hands-on practice on yourself and each other. intuitive healing tools, spiritual hygiene, protection, crystals, boundaries, liability.
✦ sunday #4, january 24: practice, exam + celebration
12pm to 4pm est
review and practical exam: full hands-on sessions with each other, with feedback. we close the container together and celebrate you.

you do not need prior experience. curiosity, sincerity, and willingness to engage with the process are enough.
a note on practicing for others
you are welcome to take this training purely for yourself.
if you intend to practice reiki for others, it is important to first have substantial personal experience with receiving reiki. i strongly recommend receiving at least five sessions before offering this work professionally. this supports deeper integration, ethical practice, and confidence.
the receiving package is the easiest way to start, and as a student you’ll always have access to my special student rate for 1:1 sessions, so you can keep receiving as you grow.

this training is limited to 8 participants to ensure personalized attention, safety, and depth. it will run with a minimum of 4.
the class is facilitated through guided meditations, discussion, visual presentation, attunement, and lots of hands-on practice.
what is a reiki attunement
a reiki attunement is a sacred initiation that aligns your energy system with the frequency of reiki.
during this process, the teacher channels reiki to clear energetic blockages and activate your capacity to access universal life force energy. once attuned, this connection is available to you for life.
attunement is less about learning something new and more about remembering. many people describe it as cleansing, emotional, grounding, or like coming home to themselves.
reiki teachers typically suggest wearing white, or a light colored shirt for the attunement, although i make this optional.
how to prepare
some say to abstain from substances, alcohol, nicotine, caffeine, however, i only suggest using your intuition: what makes you feel the most clear and grounded and receptive to be aware enough to note subtle energetic changes along your reiki journey? rules that make you anxious and overthink often block your connection to your inner source, which can cause more harm than the above mentioned. so simply put:
☆ rest well and stay hydrated
☆ eat nourishing, grounding foods
☆ create space for quiet reflection or journaling
☆ welcome any emotions that surface as part of the clearing
☆ optional: salt bath or shower with intention to clear your energy field
☆ set a light intention to be an open, clear channel
no elaborate rituals required. openness and presence are enough.
