Okay, real talk: getting from the range to an actual golf course can feel… intimidating.
What if you don’t know where to stand? What if you don’t know when to hit? What if everyone else knows what “scramble” means and you’re just smiling politely?
That’s exactly why we’re doing this.
This is a relaxed, beginner-friendly 9-hole scramble at Golden Gate Park Golf Course. Translation: team golf, less pressure. Everyone hits, the group picks the best ball, and everyone plays from there. You are not out there suffering alone.
Come solo or bring a friend. You do not need to be good. You do not need to know how a scramble works. We’ll explain everything before we start.
What you get:
9 holes on the course
Beginner-friendly scramble format
Coffee, tee time access, range access included (club rentals and balls available at ~$25 with the golf shop)
A small group of women learning as we go
Light guidance on etiquette, pace, where to stand, and what’s going on
A very low-pressure way to try playing on a real course
Who it’s for:
Newer golfers, first-timers, range girls ready to try the course, and anyone who wants to play without feeling like they accidentally joined the Masters.
If you’ve never played on a course before, you can still come. That is the point.
The morning, roughly:
10:00 — Meet up, coffee, check-in
10:15 — Quick intro: scramble rules + course basics
10:30 — First group tees off
10:30–12:45 — 9-hole beginner scramble
12:45 — Wrap, photos, group chat invite
1:00 — Optional hangout after for anyone who wants to keep chatting

FAQs:
What is a scramble?
A scramble is team golf. Everyone hits, the group picks the best shot, then everyone plays their next shot from there. Repeat until the ball is in the hole. Basically: golf, but with emotional support.
I’ve never played on a course. Can I still come?
Yes. This is designed for newer golfers and first-timers. We’ll explain where to stand, when to hit, how to keep pace, and what to do if you’re confused.
Do I need to know how to keep score?
Nope. This is not scorecard-stress golf. We’ll keep it casual and focused on playing, learning, and having fun.
Do I need clubs?
If you have clubs, bring them. If not, they are available for a rental for $25 at the shop.
Can I come alone?
Yes — most people do. This is built to be social, welcoming, and easy to join solo.
What should I wear?
Comfortable clothes you can move in, sneakers or golf shoes if you have them, and layers. Cute outfit optional. Good attitude ideal.
Will people be annoyed if I’m bad?
No. The entire format is designed so no one is stuck playing alone or holding up the group. If you can swing, laugh, and keep moving, you’re good.
What if it rains?
If the weather is truly bad, we’ll reschedule or refund you.
Is there parking?
Yes, Golden Gate Park Golf Course has parking lot.
Will there be more events?
Yes :) This is one of our first golf events, and we’ll be hosting more golf and non-golf gatherings throughout the summer.
