Product For Learning welcomes Lucy Stonehill, founder of university guidance platform Bridge U to inspire an intimate gathering of learning changemakers.
In 2014 Lucy founded BridgeU, a pioneering university and careers guidance platform connecting hundreds of thousands of students at international K12 schools in 145 countries with higher education institutions and career pathways worldwide.
In 2020, Lucy successfully led a competitive M&A process resulting in BridgeU’s acquisition by Kaplan. Post-acquisition, she spearheaded a new business line and revenue model for BridgeU by securing enterprise partnerships with over 100 tier 1 universities across the US, UK, Europe and Canada.
Lucy will be reflecting on her BridgeU journey, sales-led discovery and how to really understand what customers value.
As well as the chance to quiz Lucy, there will be the opportunity to get to know others building new learning products in breakout discussions.
Our hosts are Brighteye, the most active Edtech-focused venture capital fund in Europe who invest in Seed and Series A stage companies. Their offices are in Nottinghill.

Lucy is a seasoned executive and entrepreneur with deep expertise in international K12 education, global higher education, digital talent recruitment platforms, and a proven track record of steering start-ups through successful scale-up journeys.
In 2014 Lucy founded BridgeU, a pioneering university and careers guidance platform connecting hundreds of thousands of students at international K12 schools in 145 countries with higher education institutions and career pathways worldwide.
In 2020, Lucy successfully led a competitive M&A process resulting in BridgeU’s acquisition by Kaplan. Post-acquisition, she spearheaded a new business line and revenue model for BridgeU by securing enterprise partnerships with over 100 tier 1 universities across the US, UK, Europe and Canada.
Lucy served on Kaplan's global leadership team from 2020 through May 2024 and stepped down as CEO of BridgeU May 2024.
Over 10 years building BridgeU, Lucy raised c. $50 million in capital from strategic and venture capital investors, positioning BridgeU as a globally recognised EdTech player. Lucy scaled the company to over 100 employees at its peak, across global talent hubs in the UK, Spain, Colombia, USA, Dubai, Hong Kong, and China.
Lucy is a venture partner at Emerge Education, a European seed fund that invests in founders addressing the global skills gap. As of 2025 her advisory roles include serving on the advisory board of IU The International University of Applied Sciences (Munich) and acting as a board director for Amerigo Education.
