Mumbai Climate Party | Tour of a hyperscale data centre
AI, cloud computing, and digital infrastructure are shaping the factories of the 21st century. These factories are set to drive a gigantic new wave of electricity demand in human history. With ~100GW of new data centers estimated to be added b/w 2026 & 2030 as per a JLL report, their design will determine how scalable and sustainable the AI era becomes. They are already shaping water and land use patterns.
Most people will only ever experience AI through screens. But here's a rare chance to get upfront & close with the real deal - the powerful machines, cables, cooling systems, energy flows and resilience architectures that make the digital evolution possible. Use this chance to find out how YOU can shape the physical power centre of AI.
A hyperscale data center tour
In partnership with Yotta, a Hiranandani company which is the first company to have secured AI chips from NVIDIA, we're taking you to their NM1 hyperscale data centre - a 16-floor, 820,000 sq. ft. building which houses 7,200+ racks. It is Asia's largest Tier IV (ensuring ~100% uptime) data centre. You're about to witness one of India’s most powerful and secure pieces of infrastructure where AI models are trained, financial systems run, national digital infrastructure operates, and the digital future of humanity hums 24/7.
On this guided tour, expect to see the following & questions whatever you see:
⚡ Power & resilience
How hyperscale data centers are fed by massive electrical infrastructure
Redundant power architectures that ensure near-zero downtime (Tier IV standardization)
❄ Cooling & thermal management
Advanced HVAC and cooling systems keeping thousands of servers at optimal temperatures
The real-world energy cost of compute - how heat is managed, extracted and controlled
🖥 Compute, security & operations
How hyperscale secure architecture is designed to process petabytes of data in seconds
How high-security facilities protect the world’s most sensitive data
Who is this for?
Engineers & technologists who want to understand the physical footprint of digital intelligence
Policy makers & regulators shaping digital, energy and climate frameworks
Corporate leaders making infrastructure, cloud and sustainability decisions
Investors, founders & builders working at the intersection of tech, energy and climate
Curious minds who want to see how the invisible systems running modern civilization are actually built
Yotta operates some of India’s most advanced digital infrastructure and is actively exploring ways to make hyperscale computing more energy-efficient and water-smart. If you are building solutions that could make data centers cleaner, cooler or smarter, this is where your work meets reality.
