Central Coast Tidepooling & Kelp Foraging - California
This event is free to attend, with optional donations welcomed.
Join us for a kelp foraging tour at a local tidepool!
We will learn the basics of how to harvest kelp, then go out into the tidepools to explore. While walking around the pools, we are likely to see species such as sea stars, nudibranchs (sea slugs), crabs, and more!
With the help of our guide, we will have the opportunity to forage and sample different types of kelp.
The path from the parking lot to the tidepools is a dirt trail, about 0.3 miles downhill. There are wooden steps, and a creek crossing along a plank footbridge.
