

Grapevine Pruning Workshop + Work Party
Join Tom Dixon and Brook Brooks from Last Ditch on Sunday, March 29th, 2026, from 9:30 AM to 1:00 PM in La Cienega for the first of two spring workshops on pruning grapevines!
Are you a budding viticulturist looking for hands-on experience?
Do you have (or want) some backyard grapevines and want to learn the art of pruning?
Or do you simply enjoy working with your hands and sharing good food and wine in great company?
We LOVE pruning season and are excited to invite you into the vineyard. The 2.5 hour workshop will include some local and natural history, grapevine biology, shared observations about the season, and hands-on pruning work in the vineyard.
Around noon, we’ll gather around a communal table to share wine from the vineyard along with a vegetarian, gluten-free lunch.
It's a low-cost, pay-what-you-wish workshop, with a suggested contribution of $35. No one will be turned away for lack of funds.
All levels welcome! No experience needed.
