The Rise of Agentic Audits: Where AI Can Replace Manual Work and Where Auditors Still Matter
Audit functions spent the last year weighing whether to monitor continuously. The next question is harder: what happens when the work itself, not just the monitoring, is carried out by an agent instead of a person. Project setup, control testing, control assessment, and remediation recommendations are all starting to move from manual to agent-led, and most functions have no clear line for where agent output stops and auditor judgment has to start.
This session explains that line. It covers which stages of the audit cycle are candidates for agent-led execution, which stages still require a human signature, and what oversight keeps the work defensible either way. We'd like to thank
for joining this conversation.
Attendees will come away understanding where agentic execution fits in the audit cycle and where auditor accountability still has to sit.
Learning Objectives
Distinguish agent-assisted execution from agent-led execution across the stages of an audit engagement.
Describe which stages of testing, assessment, and remediation are candidates for agentic delegation.
Explain the oversight elements that preserve auditor accountability when agents perform the work.
