Local Hub Berlin: The Power of Presence in L&D - Using Body, Voice and Expression to Speak with Confidence

​As Learning and Development professionals, our voice and presence are some of our most powerful tools. The impact of our message often depends less on what we say, and more on how we express ourselves.

​In this interactive 90-minute session, communication coach and theatre director Bjørn de Wildt will guide us through a series of playful and practical exercises to improve our presence, voice and delivery skills. The goal is not to become someone you’re not, but to find more freedom in how you express yourself.

​You’ll explore how gesture, voice, articulation, space and emotional expression can shape your message. Whether you are facilitating a workshop, leading a meeting or giving a presentation, this session will give you hands-on tools to strengthen your delivery.

​We’ll work in pairs and small groups, so be ready to stand up and experiment with how your body and voice influence the way you speak. You’ll leave with a concrete story, a better understanding of your delivery style, and helpful feedback from peers.

Bjørn de Wildt is a seasoned public speaking coach and theater director with a rich background in theater and social work.

​With a degree in theater from the Netherlands, Bjørn has always worked across two worlds: the performing arts and communication coaching. Drawing on theater techniques, he helps people become clear, confident, and compelling communicators.

​Since 2011, Bjørn has lived in Berlin, working as a freelance theater maker for multiple theaters, while expanding his coaching career.

​Bjørn has trained professionals from startups, fintech companies, scale-ups, and universities across Europe, blending creativity with practical communication skills. His methods, based on the principles of theater, focus on creating engaging and effective speakers.
