​We're setting sail for Catalina island.

​Some of the best moments in our community have come when we intentionally unplug, disconnect from the world we're so used to scrambling in, and take a day to be together.

​Most people who live here never make it to Catalina. It's an hour from Long Beach and it feels like a different country. Leave your laptop at home, take the day off, and come spend it outside with people we know you'll love.

​Think of this as a mini retreat.

​The voyage itinerary

• ​12:40 ferry! Leaving from the Long Beach ferry terminal. Please show up early, boarding takes time. There's also a 2pm ferry if you want to join later but come with us!!

• ​We'll arrive at Avalon (if you squint, it feels like a coastal Italian village), grab a late lunch, and wander around town

• ​Activity in the park from 2:30-3:30

• ​At about 4, we'll go on a 1.5-2 hour leisurely hike through some of the best island views

• ​Back for snacks (or dinner, depending on how hungry we are)

• ​Take the 7:35 ferry back. There's also a 6:30 ferry if you want to leave earlier

​Important notes

• ​We're charging ticket prices so we can purchase ferry tickets (and subsidize them for you), but if price is a limiting factor just reach out to us and we'll find a way to accommodate you.

• ​If you take a separate ferry, please let us know well in advance so we can accommodate you and plan to have you meet us

• ​This trip is for members of the community, but if you have someone you really want to bring, message us and we can accomodate

​p.s. (note from anant: the last time I went to Catalina was for an overnight hike. Due to totally avoidable circumstances, my friends and I had a near death experience that is quite comical in hindisght (I will tell you the story, but it was totally my fault and definitely not something that you should have to worry about). Hoping to redeem that experience with a fully wholesome one with all of you :)
