What to expect
Most conference socials follow the same formula. A private room, a fixed menu, and conversations that never quite get going.
This year, we’re doing something different. We’re taking the evening out onto Sydney Harbour and letting it unfold while we cruise.
After day one of Accounting & Business Expo 2026, the MidCon Yacht Party brings together people from across the accounting and bookkeeping community. The intention is straightforward: create the right setting and give conversations the time and space to develop naturally.
As the yacht moves through the harbour, drinks and canapés will be served throughout the night. A live DJ will set the tone without overwhelming the room. There’s nothing to sit through and nowhere you need to be at a particular time. The evening is designed to move at its own pace.
Expect to be brushing shoulders with firm owners, partners, operators, and industry leaders attending ABE. Some conversations will continue from earlier in the day. Others will start fresh and run longer than expected.
Who should attend
This night is built for people inside accounting and bookkeeping firms, including:
Firm owners and partners
Practice managers
Accountants and bookkeepers in public practice
Priority will be given to accountants and bookkeepers working within firms.
Software vendors, coaches and consultants are welcome to register, but will be placed on a waitlist and confirmed once firm spots have been allocated.
