​The Challenge? Make Something Worth Sharing

​For WTF? Jam, we’re looking for games that are shareable by design.

​Think about the kind of experience someone immediately wants to try, screen-record, or drop into the group chat. Memes, absurdity, social trends, chaotic mechanics and whatever happens to be eating the internet that week are all fair game.

​Your game should also be built mobile-first: something you can pick up with one hand, play for five spare minutes, understand quickly, and share.

​The goal is simple: find the fun fast.

​Prizes: $4,000 up for grabs

• ​1st Place receives $1,500, plus $1,000 in supporting social ads budget to help put the winning game in front of more players.

• ​2nd Place receives $1,000

• ​3rd Place receives $500

​Winners will be announced on Wednesday, September 30:

​Judging & Guidelines

• ​Creators can build solo or team up with a squad, but every entry needs to be created using The Sandbox Studio.

​Judging will focus on four things:

• ​The “WTF” factor: does it surprise, delight, or make people laugh out loud?

• ​Shareability: would someone screen-record it and send it to a friend? Likes, replies and reposts will feed the judging panel

• ​Mobile feel: does it work naturally one-handed and in short bursts? Your published game must be playable on mobile, and loading screens should be no longer than 15 seconds.

• ​Gameplay: is the core loop actually fun, even if some of the edges are still rough?

​In other words: we’re not looking for perfect. We’re looking for memorable.

​“WTF?” doesn’t mean anything goes. Keep it fun rather than harmful. Silly and edgy is welcome, but hate, harassment, or anything that breaks The Sandbox community guidelines isn’t.

​The Core Builder asset pack is there to help you get moving quickly. We’d also love to see the WTF Character pack used creatively in your project, featuring characters from Vendetta. They don’t need to be the stars of the show, but find a weird, funny, or unexpected way to work them in!

​To Install and Asset Pack

• ​Open the ☰ menu in Sandbox Studio

• ​Go to Tools → Browse Asset Packs

• ​Select the pack you want to use

• ​Click Install

​You’ll find both the Core Builder Pack and WTF Character Pack there.
