Where AI for Computing Systems Meets AI for Scientific Discovery
AI is transforming science from two directions at once: researchers are using AI to build the next generation of computing systems, while scientists are using AI to accelerate discovery in fields like healthcare, biology, and the physical sciences. These two communities rarely find themselves in the same room.
On Thursday, November 5, 2026, CRA-Industry (CRA-I), the industry committee of the Computing Research Association (CRA), will convene 75 to 100 researchers and leaders from industry, academia, and government at the University of Washington in Seattle for a one-day, highly interactive event that brings these communities into direct conversation. The day features keynotes and panels on AI for the sciences and healthcare and on AI and computing for software systems, with sessions built for discussion, not just presentation.
