Microsoft is forcing you to move to Windows 11.... if you're sick of embedded advertisements, constant updates, data collection, and rising hardware requirements, we don't blame you! There is a very real possibility your Windows 10 machine can't even upgrade to the next iteration of Windows, so what are you supposed to do?
Join us in a Linux 101 for Windows users online to start your journey to making Linux desktop work better than Windows ever has for you!
What we will do
Presentation: Showcase what Linux desktops can to with demo of how the most basic things work (web browsing, messaging, installing apps)
Office hours: Bring any questions you have, Linux superusers will be ready to help answer!
Make connections: Social hangout with the intention to connect Windows user to Linux users that can be their mentor and support as they get started!
Plan for in-person: Online is only the start. We will make plans for IRL gatherings to help you migrate and keep learning going!
