About Event

The Blue Stockings Society. The Republic of Women. The Saturday Morning Club. Women in search of knowledge have always sought each other out. Solitary thoughts develop into full-fledged ideas in the company of others; dialogue takes us where we cannot go alone. We understand this intuitively, yet few spaces exist today with the sole aim of facilitating intellectual discourse between women. What gets hidden is an entire perspective on reality.

This is the reasoning behind Lumina Intellectua, the branch of Lumina House devoted exclusively to fostering and centering feminine intellect. This Saturday, we will be hosting the first edition of our monthly reading group, where we delve deep into questions of existence, reality, and meaning. The springboard for conversation will shift each month, alternating between philosophical texts, essays, and literary fiction, but the purpose will always be the same: a search for answers, through dialectic.
