Network on the Run | Event Tech Live x Brella
Start Event Tech Live with a 5K run or a 2K walk along Royal Victoria Dock, meet a few people before the doors open and be back at Excel London in plenty of time for the show.
It's a relaxed morning out rather than a race, so there are no bibs, no timings and no podium, just fresh air and conversations with people you might not otherwise bump into on the show floor. The Brella team are hosting, and everyone is welcome whether you run every week or would rather walk.
The 5K run: two laps of the Victoria Dock parkrun course at an easy pace of around 6 minutes per kilometre, quick enough to wake you up and slow enough to hold a proper conversation.
The 2K walk: one lap of the same flat, step-free path, so wheelchairs and buggies are welcome.
Both groups set off together from The Crystal and finish there within a few minutes of each other.
The plan for the morning
7:20am - Meet at The Crystal, next to Excel West, for a quick warm-up
7:30am - Runners and walkers set off together
Around 8:05am - Back at The Crystal for rehydration drinks and a snack
Then a two-minute walk over to Excel, ready for the show
What to bring: comfortable shoes, a few layers for a fresh November morning and a water bottle. Everyone taking part gets a buff to take home too.
